Harry and Clare Friday Foundation supporting the Mansfield District Hospital 

Established in 2007, the Harry and Clare Friday Foundation is a Charitable Trust committed to the growth and future development of the Mansfield District Hospital, Bindaree Retirement Centre and Buckland House Nursing Home.

The Foundation is committed to:

• Raising $2 million by 2015, to invest in capital infrastructure projects for Mansfield District Hospital, Bindaree Aged Care Hostel and Buckland House
• Working in partnership with Mansfield District Hospital and the community to achieve its vision for the future of our healthcare facilities

The Foundation’s philanthropic efforts will provide pledged funds, fund raising, matching funds and investment.

All donations to the Harry and Clare Friday Foundation are 100% tax deductible. Donating directly to the Friday Foundation enables capital to be accumulated, which is then applied to items of significant capital spend, which will have a positive impact on the capacity of Mansfield District Hospital to deliver services to the community.

Foundation founder, Christine Friday, said the Foundation commemorates her parents’ love and devotion to each other and the Mansfield community. “Dad was adamant that mum be commemorated in an enduring way that would also help the community they were so much a part of,” she said. “The hospital provides vital services to our community and we are pleased to be able support the Mansfield community in this way.”

Five-year Strategic Plan

To guide its development over the next five years, the Friday Foundation has established five key goals:

1. Affirm and enhance traditional values and community service in Mansfield;
2. Build a comprehensive fundraising program in support of the Mansfield District Hospital;
3. Demonstrate leadership;
4. Represent best practice as a philanthropic organization; and
5. Increase community awareness and support of the Foundation and it’s goals.

The Harry and Clare Friday Foundation is a Charitable Trust. All funds raised will remain in a low risk investment fund generating investment income until required for new equipment and capital projects as recommended by the Mansfield District Hospital Board.

It is only through the support of the entire community that the Mansfield District Hospital will be able to achieve its vision for the future of healthcare facilities in Mansfield.
